In John 20:21, Jesus made an important statement, “Just as the father sent me, so I send you.”
We are being sent into the world just as Christ was sent into the world, we are to do as he did, the works he did, live the life he lived, to have the same sense of purpose he had, to pray the prayers he prayed, to see the results he and the first disciples saw, “and the Lord added to their group those who were being saved.” We need to believe it, pray for it, live in the reality of it, Jesus believes in his church, he believes in building his kingdom, he believes in seeing lives changed, communities transformed. We as the followers are Jesus are invited to be part of God’s amazing rescue plan for mankind.
