February 25th

Roller Coaster's get faster or so I am told by some friends of mine who went to Disney Paris a few weeks ago, actually I can't remember the last times I was on one. However sometimes life is like a Roller Coaster, things happen and we just can't stop them and we feel like we are being turned upside down and flung about. If today is like that for you then, hold on in there. God is totally true to his promises and he will never ever let us fly off the end. Sometimes in life God takes us where he wants us to go and he shoves us with a mighty push when we hesitate or don’t have enough faith to believe he can and is working in our lives and in this, his world. Regardless of how we feel today or how much we mess up and loose our way the transforming power of the cross is available to us every day. The truth for every situation is Jesus, so let's just keep trusting and hold on and allow him to be Lord of everything we are and everything we hope to be.

Malachi 3:10
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.

Keep praying

Ephesians 6:10-18
The Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
We are taught very clearly in God' word to pray, God wants us to be part of his mission here on earth and unless we are in relationship with him how are we going to know what he is doing and what to to do next, have you ever played with a Rubix cube, they just keep getting in a muddle, and then a miracle may occur and suddenly you have managed to complete it. Life is sometimes just like that , we really can't make it on our own, we need to keep praying and just like a Rubik cube, suddenly all the bits really will fall into place, it may take a while because it will be in God's perfect time until that happens we just need to keep trusting and praying.
Keep praying! See you soon!

I'll fight

This is William Booth the founder of the Salvation Army's last famous speech:
While women weep, as they do now,
I'll fight; while little children
go hungry, as they do now,
I'll fight; while men
go to prison, in and out, in and out, as they do now,
I'll fight; while there
is a drunkard left, while there is a poor lost girl upon the streets, while there remains one dark soul without the light of God,
I'll fight-I'll fight to the very end!”
(From: BOOTH THE BELOVED, by J Evan
Smith (Oxford University Press, 1949), pages 123-12)
Isaiah 61:4 “They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long
devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for
generations.”
The challenge is for each one of us to say yes to God and become part of the answer, we need to as we are challenged "fight", fights for people's salvation and keep fighting until we see God's kingdom come in our community, until we see the whole community impact and won for Jesus!
